Step 1 - We get to know you
We’re here for you. You’ll find our contact details all over this website, we are not an internet company and we welcome calls and e-mails from you. We’re happy to deal with any query, large or small, and we’ll take as much time as you need us to.
We understand that your situation is unique. To help us build that picture and to help us get started we ask you to fill in our Decision in Principle Form (DIP) and e-mail it back to us. If you’d rather download the form and then post your completed details to us, please do.
If you are interested in the combined specialist mortgage and investment planning service please complete the Personal Financial Profile and e-mail it back to us. If you’d rather download the form and the post your completed details to us, please do so.
You can be sure we’ll keep everything in the strictest confidence.
Step 2 – We familiarise ourselves with your personal needs and objectives
Overseas Mortgage Services
Once we have received your DIP we will contact you within 24 working hours to inform you of whether, or not, on the basis of the information you have given us, you qualify for a loan.
There may be factors not given on the form or alternative solutions and this is when we get to discuss your needs and reach a solution.
Overseas Mortgage & Investment Services
Once your PFP has been received we will contact you within 48 working hours. Once we fully understand your needs we’ll give you an outline recommendation of our service.
In either instance there is no obligation to you. It is then up to you to decide whether you want Siddalls to help you with your finances.
Step 3 – Your personal proposals
Overseas Mortgage Services
We research the market and will send you a personal mortgage proposal. This will detail everything you need to know, from the monthly repayments, interest rate and term and include any associated fees and costs. Remember - Siddalls make no charge for this service.
If you are happy with the proposal we can then proceed to applying for your mortgage. Your proposal will also outline the documents you need to provide in order to make your mortgage application.
Overseas Mortgage & Investment Services
We research the financial markets and provide a bespoke report for you. We charge a fee for this report but can also work on a commission basis should you want to purchase any financial products detailed in the report. Some people work with us on a part fee / part commission basis – the choice is yours. We do not make any charges without agreeing them beforehand with you.Your mortgage application will be processed alongside your report as above.
Step 4 – Working together – Your mortgage application
Overseas Mortgage Services
We will deal with the processing of your application and keep you updated on a weekly basis. In most instances you will require Life Insurance and we will also guide you through this process.
Overseas Mortgage & Investment Services
On your approval, we carry out the recommendations in the report in association with any mortgage application (as above).
Step 5 – Your Mortgage Offer
Once you receive your mortgage offer, from the lender, there is a statutory 10 day cooling off period.
After this period, if you are happy with the terms and conditions of the loan, you must sign and date the offer and return it to the lender. The funds will be released to your notaire on completion.
Step 6 – We continue to support you
We provide you with continuous service and support.
We don’t rush you. The way you manage your finances will have a major influence on how successfully you settle abroad. So we help you to plan carefully, and make full use of our expertise.
